                                  Version 102 Beta

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
      ** NOTE: This is a beta release, please do not distribute it yet **
      This beta includes a new experimental IRC server, TitanIRCd. It has
      somewhat the same features as you would have via the normal
      UTelAdSE except that it uses the IRC protocol. So you can use your
      favorite IRC client to connect to the server to administrate it.
      When you connect with TitanIRCd you will join two channels, one is
      the chat channel (prefixed with a #) and the other is the admin
      channel (prefixed with a &). In the admin channel you have to enter
      your admin commands, the builtin commands are prefixed with a '.'
      at the moment, this is because '/' is captures by the IRC client.
      In order to log in on the server you have to connect to the server
      with the nick set to the Username of a valid admin user and with
      the correct password (the normal IRC authentication).
      The auto loader classes (ConfigManager support) for UTelAdSE and
      TitanIRCd have been disabled in this beta.

UTelAdSE is a telnet administration server that will allow you do administer
your UT2003 server using a telnet client.

UTelAdSE runs from within UT2003, just like the WebAdmin, so you won't open a
security hole directly to your system. On an incorrect login UTelAdSE will
pause 5 seconds before a retry is possible. This way it will prevent some
brute forcing abilities.

Because UTelAdSE runs from within UT2003 your connections will be closed
every time UT2003 switches a map.

For a list of all changes check the UTelAdSE Version.txt file

-------------------------------- INSTALLATION -------------------------------
The installation is easy just copy all the *.u and *.int files to your UT2003
System directory (or just unzip this zip file with full paths).

Edit your server configuration and add the following lines:

    [Engine.GameEngine]
    ServerActors=UTelAdSE.UTelAdSE

Or if you want to use the IRC server version of UTelAdSE add the following
line:

    [Engine.GameEngine]
    ServerActors=UTelAdSE.TitanIRCd

You can use both UTelAdSE and TitanIRCd at the same time.

If you use the XAdmin.AccessControlIni as Access Controll then you MUST add
the following lines to the server config or else you won't be able to use
UTelAdSE.

    [XAdmin.AccessControlIni]
    PrivClasses=Class'xadmin.xKickPrivs'
    PrivClasses=Class'xadmin.xGamePrivs'
    PrivClasses=Class'xadmin.xUserGroupPrivs'
    PrivClasses=Class'xadmin.xExtraPrivs'
    PrivClasses=Class'UTelAdSE.xTelnetPrivs'

Or if this section already exists, just add the line:

    PrivClasses=Class'UTelAdSE.xTelnetPrivs'

This will add some extra priviledge settings for UTelAdSE, which the user
must have in order to use parts of UTelAdSE.
